Audi – Robot

Robot, the new spot by Nacho Gayán for Audi & DDB.

It tells the story of a little tin robot that envies the capabilities of a much more advanced model and a toy car that feels the same way watching  the new A4. As the claim says, we all look up on someone.

The soundtrack features a nice cover of the song If I Only Had a Heart, the song sung by the tin-man in The Wizard of Oz.

VW Golf – Phobias

A phobia is an irrational, intense and persistent fear of certain situations, things, animals, people… or just about watching the new Golf and not being its owner.

Director Pep Bosch films a surrealistic ad so we can learn not only that there are many more phobias than we thought, but also a new one has been discovered. The research was done on behalf of DDB Barcelona agency.

Cannes Lion for Timoty

T-Mo-T, Pep Bosch’s advert for Mccann Erickson agency and the brand Campofrío has been awarded with a Bronze Lion at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival.

Furthermore, the spot Coin directed by Hugo Menduiña for Volkswagen, with creativity from DDB Barcelona agency was selected for the shortlist of film category.

GNF – Happiness

Hugo Menduiña directs this spot for GNF, showing that sometimes the best way to advance is by going backwards.

Under the claim “Happiness is home generated”, this campaign for Gas Natural Fenosa, the main gas and electricity company of Spain highlights values such as optimism, proximity and confort.

The creativity is signed by the Contrapunto Barcelona agency.

Agosto under the Sun

After placing 12 films in the shortlist, 3 spots from Agosto have been awarded at the El Sol (The Sun) advertising festival, the most important festival in Spain and the second one in the Latin America region.

* GOLD Sun:
Worried Woman / Renault, directed by Belén Gayán for Publicis.

* SILVER Sun:
Piñatas / San Miguel, directed by No-Domain (8 de Agosto) for Publicis.

* BRONZE Sun:
Timoty / Campofrío, directed by Pep Bosch for McCann Erickson.

Agosto, the most awarded prodco

Agosto got five awards from the APCP (Advertising Film Producers Association of Spain).

The five awards included the most important ones: Best Spot, Best Direction, Best Production and Best Photography, all granted to Nacho Gayán’s spot “Sun”, filmed in Argentina for the automotive brand Ford.

Also Pep Bosch’s Cool” advert for the new Volkswagen Polo got a Best Edition award (more info in El Publicista).
